What: Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM) Grant in the frame of the COST Action Transnational Family Dynamics in Europe (TraFaDy) https://transnational-families.eu/

STSM’s title: “TNF – knowledge sharing, networking and science for policy”

Host institution: Odisee. University of Applied Sciences, Brussels

When: 17/06-11/07/2024

The STSM in brief:

The Short Term Scientific Mission Grant in the frame of the COST Action TraFaDy provides an excellent occasion to exchange with scholars working on welfare, mobility and borders, creating networking and collaborative possibilities for the SOCIOBORD project.

TraFaDy brings together researchers and stakeholders from different disciplines and countries, to deepen the scientific and policy knowledge of the growing and changing dynamics of transnational families.

The STSM will contribute to the implementation of the TraFaDy International Summer School organised in Brussels between 24 June and 03 July 2024. The summer school will host internationally acknowledged lecturers, experienced guest speakers and foresees interactive workshops engaging practitioners from the field and off-campus excursions.

For more information on the summer school: https://transnational-families.eu/24-june-03-july-2004-trafady-summer-school/

The STSM will also represent an occasion to exchange on respective research (SOCIOBORD and SOLIGION) on (complementary) transnational welfare practices across faith-based organisations, secular welfare state institutions and borders. It will also lay the ground to networking opportunities to stimulate exchanges between research, policy and practice, as part of the ERA’s priorities to increase the role of “science for policy” in EU-decision making processes.
